The 2008 Convention Committee is seeking receipt of Call for Papers forms for workshops and/or poster sessions.  Suggested topics include the following:

When completing the form, an abstract of the proposed presentation must be prepared and attached.  The abstract should be a 100-200 word description.  Be specific enough for reviewers to be able to grasp the nature of the program, its scope and the planning done in preparation.  All proposals are due by May 31, 2008, in fully complete format.  Those received after May 31 or not completed may not be reviewed.

WORKSHOP SESSION:Workshop sessions will be scheduled in one or two hour segments as indicated on the Call for Papers form.  The actual workshop room, day and time will be determined by the Program Chairperson.  Notification of acceptance will be mailed on or about August 31, 2008.

POSTER SESSIONS:The purpose of a poster session is for educators to display programs that have been successfully implemented, effective strategies, research studies/results, dissertations, curriculum adaptations, teacher made products, prepared literature, program developments and best practices.  One room will be designed for poster session presenters to display their materials.  They will be scheduled for one-hour in duration and the presenter will be expected to stay with the display.  NO AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED FOR POSTER SESSIONS.

 AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT: NO AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED FOR ANY SESSIONS.  Please note this is a change from previous years. The presenter must supply or rent from the hotel (at presenter’s expense) any AV equipment needed. Information on additional AV equipment, costs and a request form will be sent with the letter of proposal acceptance.

 PRESENTER REGISTRATION:Presenters will be sent special PRESENTERS ONLY CONFERENCE PRE-REGISTRATION materials by August 31, 2008.
