Dear PACEC members,
As many of you may remember from last year, we had a few changes in leadership with PACEC. I was excited to join all of you as president elect and plan last year’s convention along with the help of former PACEC president Dr. Jannis Floyd. I want to offer thanks again for all of her help both with the convention and for all she does for our organization. I also want to take the time to thank Laura Receveur for stepping in for another year as President. She will continue working with PACEC this year as past president. We again welcome Dr. Michelle McCollin as President Elect. She has been working tirelessly on planning a spectacular convention as we celebrate 50 years of conventions.
We look forward to offering many new choices at the convention this year including a new location at the Holiday Inn- East. Next year our convention will be at the Penn Stater on November 11- 12, 2010. We thank the Grantville Hershey Holiday Inn for hosting us for the past 16 years. We have never had any issues with hosting our convention there, but hope that by offering a variety of locations, we will be able to make our convention more accessible to a larger number of people.
I hope that everyone has taken the chance to check out our website improvements. I thank everyone who has been working on this project and hope you enjoy the results.
We are also saddened to report the passing of a long time CEC member and past president, Leslie Kolodin. She had served with PACEC for numerous years and was always willing to help in any capacity. Please watch for future notices about a scholarship in her honor.
So here’s to another successful year for PACEC. If anyone is interested in becoming more involved in this outstanding organization, please contact me at
